Xianteng Tang
PhD in Geography, Indiana University Bloomington (in progress)
Xianteng is working on mapping, attribution, and prediction of mosquito and tick's habitats and their associated human health. He received his B.Sc. and M.Eng. in in GIS from Southwest Petroleum University, China. He led the development of a spatiotemporal interpretable analysis tool, called BSTVC. Shubham Khupase
M.S. in Applied Data Science, Indiana University Bloomington (in progress)
Shubham is working on precipitation nowcasting using AI. He is a graduate student specializing in Data Science, Machine Learning, & AI. He brings hands-on experience in building machine learning models , data modeling and visualization to support data-driven research projects. He is excited to continue learning, collaborate with others, and contribute to meaningful projects.

L Huber
BA in Environmental & Sustainability Studies with a concentration in Sustainable Energy Resources and Climate, Indiana University Bloomington (in progress)
L is working on Farmer Irrigation Nation, a citizen science project combining farmer-reported irrigation data with Earth observation data to study agricultural water use. They run the project's survey and outreach campaign, drawing on their field experience in experimental irrigation. L also has interests in climate change, feminist political ecology, human-environment interactions, and Indigenous Knowledge Systems.
Outside of research, L enjoys painting and spending time with their cat.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Rahul Durai
B.A. Environmental & Sustainability Studies and English, Indiana University Bloomington (in progress)
Rahul is working on a citizen science platform for collecting and mapping irrigation data. In addition to his work with the group, he contributes to social scientific projects on agriculture and public health through the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health.
Outside of research, he enjoys running, walking his dog, and reading.

Yaqian He
Yaqian He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Indiana University Bloomington. Before joining IU, she worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and the University of Central Arkansas. Before that, she was a postdoctoral research fellow in Dr. Justin Mankin's group at Dartmouth College, closely collaborating with Dr. Jonathan Chipman.
She received her Ph.D. from West Virginia University supervised by Dr. Eungul Lee, holds a master's degree in Cartography and GIS from Beijing Normal University under Dr. Yanchen Bo, and a bachelor's in Surveying Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology.
